Does creative thinking, analysis, and mental exertion drive you to gain in weight more?

Appetite can be enhanced by increased mental work.  Several people find this true since a day of mental chore can be as, if not more, physically fatiguing as actual physical work. Mental work, according to studies, "destabilizes" insulin and glucose levels hence spurring one to eat a lot because of increase in longing for food. There are a lot of factors that point to a boost in appetite, and several of those are connected to the mind of an individual.

One such mental factor is stress, which is caused by mental activities. Eating in excess is likely caused by stress. Even I tend to eat a lot more when I'm too stressed out. As soon as you let your guard down, this reaction of your body to your state of mind will be impulsive.

Effects are the same with rats. Glucocorticoid steroid hormone, or cortisol in humans, is dispensed by rats when they are chronically stressed, as researchers found out. This drives the rats to excitedly engage in pleasure-seeking actions. This involves ingesting high-energy foods that will eventually help them develop abdominal obesity.

Abdominal obesity, or just "belly fat," is brought about by too much or gratuitous food intake. It has been linked to increased risk of heart attacks, diabetes, strokes and more illnesses and disease. Getting rid of stress before it gets out of hand is more desirable than calming it with a oily burger and a large soda!

British researchers implicate boredom and loneliness as well. They also cause an increase in eating in about half of adults! Comfort foods, like junk foods and ice cream is to blame here. These foods are usually consumed in large heaps passing along large bulks of fat as well!

There is no alibi to not be mindful of your hunger at the end of a hard day at work now that you in the loop. But if you are beyond question feeling hungry, then eat by all means. Just make certain that what you eat is healthy and will afford you with the essential sustenance. One secure way to comfort your weight-worries off your mind is to have a solid balanced diet and day-to-day exercise.
